Life is a journey. Life is a series of problems and challenges. Life is ever evolving.

Yesterday I celebrated a new #milestone. The birth of #SparePartsAsia, a joint venture between Philippines and Malaysia, a hybrid of tech and conventional business. SparePartsAsia or more affectionately known as SPA, is a true AEC brand (ASEAN Economic Community). SPA  was conceived in the minds of her founders only late 2015 but by yesterday, 4 August 2016 she was birthed.

A new Asia icon is born!

Yesterday myself and Nes (one of my partners) had the privilege of introducing and presenting SPA to an awesome audience. The fact that some folks are showing interest in this brand even before our presentation is a tremendous encouragement and endorsement of our new baby.

All the hard work behind the scenes to make this dream come true has birthed this brand. Now the real harder work awaits!

Years ago, in my entrepreneurial journey, if I was told that I would be achieving a series of milestones, including this latest SPA, I would have given the person a weird look. But today, as I celebrate, I give thanks to the one who makes it possible – my Lord Jesus. By His favor and anointing, it was made possible. And to the person closest to me, my wife who saw the potential in me even before I saw it. Last but not least, to my amazing partners Nes/Jojy/Wilson, thank you for your trust and faith in me, and for the amazing teamwork we are blessed with.

So, what’s next? Keep a lookout for SPA. Asia, we are here!

Stepping Stone – Floor Mat or Elevator?

This morning as I was driving, it crossed my mind that often in our life, we have intentionally or sub-consciously being made someone’s stepping stone or made someone our stepping stone.

Often, being a stepping stone is associated to the negative. Kinda a floor mat. Hi & Bye. We serve our purpose for a brief moment only. When that person finds someone or something better, it is aside with old and in with the new. Let’s not shoot those people for we may be guilty of doing so ourselves.

So what is the point of writing this today?

Well, we all have a purpose to serve or live out in this life. Whatever we do, we do it unto the Lord. If someone made us a stepping stone, it is only because we have something important that the other person needs. Ain’t it better than not being needed at all? At least we have being a blessing, amidst moments only. If we are the “culprits”, then it is within our control to stop! We need to incorporate a culture of “gratefulness” into our character. Forget not those who helped us along the way. This is what society is lacking these days.

If we have being made a stepping stone, here’s a positive perspective…

  1. Be thankful you have blessed someone
  2. If that person made you feel as if you are only a tool, then let us not do the same unto others
  3. Learn from the lesson as a stepping stone

If you have made others your stepping stone, here’s what you may need to do…

  1. Stop! Be grateful to all who has helped and blessed you in your journey
  2. Show appreciation to them

Now, being a stepping stone does not sound that bad right? It’s a process of life. It’s unavoidable. Make the most of it. Stay positive.

Life IS a Bed of Roses

Does the quote Life is not a Bed or Roses not sound familiar? I subscribe to the fact that Life is a Bed of Roses

Roses often perceived to be beautiful, sweet and captivating…which is true. Then there is also the thorns. It won’t be the first time I have bled because of the thorn.

Similar to life, the aroma and beauty of a rose coincides with life’s beautiful moments – when everything is going well. Then thorn then coincides with life’s challenges and difficulties.

Ain’t it true that when we are enjoying and crusing in our life, suddenly we hit a brick wall? Everything then seems to go wrong and all good things are crumbling around us. It is so true with roses – while you are enjoying the aroma and beauty of the rose, you get pricked and bleed. The rose suddenly does not seem to appealing anymore.

God never promises us a life of roses without thorns…. He promised to be there for us to hold us and support us when we prick our fingers and end up crying or being shaken. Fact of life – life in all it’s splendor and beauty has its difficult and ugly moments too.

Life is a Bed of Roses. If we’re not careful we are almost certain to be pricked. Even when we are careful we may still get pricked by accident or unseen thorns. Nonetheless, the rose was created for our enjoyment – a blessing. Let us not forget about the rose just because we got pricked. Life is beautiful – Life has its many blessings – let us not lose the appreciation of God’s creations inc our life because of circumstances.

When all seems lost, maybe it is time to recount our blessings!
